Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Tom Price Senior High School. It is my privilege to serve the students, teachers and families of this wonderful school and community.
As a culturally responsive school we welcome the opportunity to partner with our families and community. We recognise that all members of the community want the best for our children and strive to ensure we live the values of Personal Best, Integrity and Respect, providing a positive learning environment that prepares our students for their future and puts them on a pathway to success.
Our school’s vision is to inspire students to embrace their diversity and be passionate about learning in order to achieve their personal best. This is fostered through the extensive Year 7 to Year 12 secondary education program, supported by Vocational Education and Training (VET), cultural, artistic and sporting opportunities. A key element of our academic STEM program is the Centre of Resources Excellence (CoRE), with the Pilbara CoRE program offered to interested students in Years 7 and 8. The school is also participating in the Fogarty Foundation EDvance program, a whole school improvement program providing school executive teams with leadership and management skills via a mentorship to improve the educational outcomes of our students.
Tom Price SHS is an Independent Public School located near the picturesque surrounds of the Karijini National Park 1600km from Perth, servicing students who live in the towns of Tom Price, Paraburdoo and the nearby Aboriginal communities Wakuthuni and Bellary. The achievement of our students is made possible by the dedicated and supportive staff who tailor teaching programs to meet the needs of our students and through partnerships with local industry and businesses via school based programs and traineeships.
I invite you to take a look through our website for further information on our school and encourage you to visit us for a personal tour.

Business Plan & Annual Report
The 2018 – 2020 Business Plan is the school’s third triennial Business Plan since the school began as an Independent Public School in January 2012. The plan builds on the school’s successful six years as an Independent Public School with the success evidenced in the Department of Education Services report ‘2014 Independent Review Findings’ for Tom Price Senior High School.
The Annual Report gives parents and other members of the community a clear sense of how students in the school are progressing and what is being done to maximise student achievement. Please click on the link below to view the 2015 Tom Price Senior High School Report.

School Review
All Western Australian public schools are reviewed every three years by the Department of Education’s Public School Accountability directorate. A review gives assurance to the local community, the Minister for Education and Training and the Director General that a school is operating effectively and delivering high quality education to its students. The review acknowledges the achievements of the school and gives feedback to support the principal and staff with their improvement planning.
