Dear Parents/Guardians and Students
All Year 10 students entering Year 11 in 2021 are required to attend a course selection interview with their parents/guardians and a course advisor to confirm Senior School course recommendations and selections. Year 11 students entering Year 12 are required to complete the course selection form and are encouraged to attend an interview if needed.
Course advisory sessions are compulsory for students currently in Year 10 to discuss their proposed course pathways. Course advisory session times that are available in Tom Price and Paraburdoo are:
Wednesday 26th August: 8:00am – 4:00pm at Tom Price SHS (Shire Meeting Room)
Thursday 27th August: 8:00am – 2:00pm at Tom Price SHS (Shire Meeting Room)
4:00pm – 7:00pm at Paraburdoo PS (School Library)
Friday 28th August: 8:00am – 2:00pm at Tom Price SHS (Shire Meeting Room)
Monday 31st August: 8:00am – 2:00pm at Tom Price SHS (Shire Meeting Room) (Year 11 only)
Prior to the meeting please read the Decision Time: Pathways to Success 2021-2022 Handbook, which is attached to this post, as well as the Course Selection Information and Forms (which has been posted to you). We also recommend that you spend some time discussing Senior School and future career ambitions with your child/teachers/members of your family. Students currently in Year 10 and 11 will be participating in WACE information and career exploration sessions at school to assist with decision making.
